Peoples Supply Company Inc. was founded in 1934 by W.E. Spruill, WoodallRose and R. Purvis. The store originally sold building supplies, farm implements,paints, oils, mules and wagons. The store was located at the corner of Pearl and Gay Street in Rocky Mount.
The new name of Peoples Building Supply Company was created in 1977 when it was purchased by John H. High, E.C. Powell, and C.H. Powell and moved to itspresent location at 420 S. Wesleyan Blvd on September 30, 1985.
Peoples Building Supply has a 15,000 square foot showroom with supplies for contractors and do-it-your selfers. We offer an extensive line of lumber, building materials, hardware and home improvement items.
Our hours are 7:OO am until 4:30 pm daily Monday thru Friday and we hope to see you soon.
